Monitor Local beta is released to HEIs

July 15th saw the first offical release of Jisc's Monitor Local system to UK higher education institutions taking part in the pilot. The final release is planned for September this year. In the meantime institutions can get to grips with the application, ready to hit the ground running. Pilot users will also benefit from opportunities to influence development of features in future project phases.

Developed by Knowledge Integration for Jisc, in partnership with Sero Consulting, Monitor Local is expected to help institutions manage their processes around Green and Gold Open Access publishing:

  • Reducing the risk of non-compliance with funder Open Access policies
  • Saving research administrators and librarians time
  • Encouraging development of and adherence to global standards resulting in benefits for librarians, repository and research managers, publishers, research councils and funders
