Matchmaking: when collections met photography.
‘Weighed down with laptops, ladders, cameras, tape measures and object labelling equipment, six inventory teams set off to catalogue and photograph all of the collections displayed and stored in 47 of our visited properties. Project
Reveal will last 18 months and cover properties across Scotland, from Broughton House in Kirkcudbright to Hugh Miller’s Birthplace Cottage in Cromarty.’
In this landmark project, CIIM plays a key role in the delivery of joined-up information. From initial photograph to automatic appearance in their Adlib collections management system, via integration with the Portfolio DAMS, CIIM makes sure the workflow is as streamlined as possible.
Collections information officer Joe Cooper describes the project in detail in his story on the National Trust for Scotland website.
