Over 74000 memorials and 1 million names are now searchable online via the IWM War Memorials Register.
Knowledge Integration worked closely with the team at IWM to integrate their names and memorials data with memorials API feeds from Historic England and War Memorials Online. This data was then cross referenced with the collections so that images from related collections objects can be shown alongside the memorial images. High resolution zooms are automatically created as part of the processing, as well as the different sized media artefacts for web delivery.
This joins their existing data in CIIM and takes them to over 4 million items.
